A lot of companies hold drawing contests for young children, but I've never seen a site dedicated to exhibiting the art of all children solely for others to view and enjoy. Another problem I personally face as a mother to a one year old little girl who is just now learning to use crayons, markers, etc. is what to do with all of her drawings. Obviously I want to save them but who would see them if I pack them away? Where do I put them when our refrigerator runs out of room? Then the idea occurred to me to create an online children's art museum. For now my plans are to post and and all submissions by mothers who want the world to see their children's artwork, share fun art projects I find online (and hopefully try out!) and occasionally hold fair art contests. Fair as in using an online randomization program to pick a winner, because how is any child's artwork better or worse than any other, and why should anyone imply any different? If this blog is received and supported well, in the future I plan to create a real virtual art museum. Now on to the art!
